The Passion of Writing

If you ask him: "Why write?" To this simple question, a simple answer: "Out of passion. I've always wanted to write, but I was busy earning my bread. I've always written and I kept all these texts, thinking that one day they would serve a purpose. That was the case when I published my first novel: 'Le temps des dérangements' in 2012. When my colleagues said I would get bored when retiring, I replied: I'm going to write novels... and play some golf"

Originally from Montreal, author Pierre Laflamme first made a name for himself in the world of cinema, where he held marketing positions in major American and Quebec distribution companies. Later, he moved to Radio-Canada, where he was entrusted with a position related to international relations; he continued his career at Télé-Québec as a manager of autonomous revenues. Retired since 2007, he finally devotes his time to writing and traveling (France-Egypt-Italy-Spain-Czech Republic-Austria-Mexico-Slovakia, US). He is the author of novels that have earned him excellent reviews, with the second one, 'Le Sang des Cailloux tome I,' receiving the special jury prize FONDCOMBE 2017 in France.

His third novel, 'LES OUBLIÉS DE DIEU,' released in May 2021, is already enjoying success.

While not sacrificing dramatic progression, his fiction draws from current events and could be classified as "docu-novels." Through his characters, he invites his readers to share experiences and discover unusual places. Described by many as cinematic, his writing allows readers to explore an unknown world.

Known for his cinematic writing style, Pierre Laflamme's work is characterized by his social and historical concerns and phenomenal research efforts.
