If Egyptology and the situation of the Palestinians speak to you, these novels will captivate you.
Inspired by real events, the story weaves a complex and compelling narrative set during the Egyptian revolution of 2011 and 2013.
The author brings to life flesh-and-blood characters caught in the tensions between tradition and modernity, at a time when geopolitical stakes threaten to ignite a conflict across the Middle East.
Between Cairo and Montreal, Barcelona, Tel Aviv, Rome, and Paris, men and women follow paths on the brink of collision.

THE BLOOD OF STONES volume I

Fadilah is a young woman of great beauty, passionate about freedom, equality, and an "Islam of Enlightenment." A student of Egyptology in Cairo, she is secretly in love with Faysal, a young man shaped to become a jihadist. Pushed by Salim Al Misri, a self-proclaimed imam and fanatic, Faysal joins the Salah Ad-Din brigade, which advocates for the implementation of Sharia law and the great caliphate. Meanwhile, Abou Hamza, Faysal’s father and Mubarak’s Minister of Petroleum, grants Preston Colby, the CEO of MARGI—a Quebec-based engineering company—major contracts for the development of Egyptian oil fields… on one condition. Events unfold rapidly: a tourist bus explodes in Barcelona. The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Israeli Mossad take action just as, in Cairo’s Tahrir Square, Egyptians are on the verge of rejecting President Mubarak’s dictatorship. Between Cairo and Montreal, between Barcelona and Tel Aviv, men and women are on a collision course, their fates intertwined in an imminent clash.

Inspired by real events, the story weaves a rich and complex narrative set against the backdrop of the Egyptian revolution of 2011 and 2013. The author brings to life flesh-and-blood characters caught in the tension between tradition and modernity, as geopolitical stakes threaten to ignite conflict across the Middle East. Spring 2013: The Egyptian people, dissatisfied with the outcome of the 2011 revolution, return to Tahrir Square, rising up against President Morsi and seeking to overthrow him. After completing her studies, Fadilah remained friends with her professor, Aïcha. But why has Aïcha never married? Who is she really? And why does Fadilah believe that the terrorist brigade Salâh Ad-Dîn, backed by Iran, poses a threat to the Temple Mount/Al-Aqsa compound in Jerusalem? From Cairo to Tel Aviv, from Amman to Tehran, a race against time begins to prevent the Middle East from erupting into chaos.
